Title: Is it worth doing
Post by: rakesh27 on 28 October 2009, 13:54
Guys,

I own a VW Golf GTI-Turbo 1.8 AGU R-Tech remap stage 1 200bhp with 007p and pipercross panel filter and soon to get milltek non resonated cat back exhaust system.

I need to know asap so i can order asap, is it worth me doing a DSG airbox intake upgrade, my heart was set on a air induction kit, but as you lot said not worth the trouble.

Please let me know asap if it is worth doing (DSG R32 Airbox and intake upgrade) and wheres the best place to purchase ?

thanks

i recently did this mod a few weeks ago in turn replacing my neuspeed ind kit one of the best mods i have done imo well worth it as rhys says get the parts from the dealer or try the trade parts specialists i used them and they were cheaper than vw

I plan to do this next time I'm stripping the front end to bits (to change a bulb or something stupid).

What does "DSG" stand for?  Is it something to do with a funky gearbox?

Yeah it's the auto-ish one.
