Title: What tyres are you running on your standard wheels?
Post by: nick_thomas on 27 October 2009, 17:16
Just the consensus please.

I have the 205/50/15s as come standard at the moment, but am about to replace all 4 as they're budget ditch finders.

Was contemplating 195/45s, what you got?

Cheers

I would not use 195/45's, 195/50 is the correct size to keep gearing / speedo spot on.

I have used and can recommend Toyos and Falkens.

I used 195/50 Goodyear Eagle F1's. Tyres are fairly pricey at about 50-80quid a corner depending on where you shop, but in the wet they are amazing, and the dry they are pretty good too.

There is a tyre sizing link up in the info section!

Just bought Uniroyal Rainsport 2's and they are great in both dry and wet!

Just recieved 2 Toyo PX4's and i'll be putting them on this afternoon (195/50 R15 86V) To try on mine so i'll post up when i've given em a trial.

Used to love the old toyo T1-s but tried the T1-R and found the sidewalls too soft & they scrubbed, these are higher load rated so be good to see how they cope.
