Title: Windscreen Wipers

I am thinking of fitting the folloing:

BOSCH Aerotwin FLAT Wiper Blades

Is there anything I should know before i do this? Has anyone used the above wipers?

Post by: winrya on 26 October 2009, 23:14: Don't!! Get the oems from the dealer. I had these for 6 months and they were utter rubbish. Noisy and just moved water around. Replaced with Vw ones which are still like new over a year later

Agreed - the VW OEM ones look exactly the same, so stick with them. I bought them last week but for the life of me, I couldn't find the invoice so having to work on bank statement, which means the pair of front wipers was £28.95 (including VAT). Easy to fit but I found the connecting part was a slightly different design to the ones that came on the car. Not noticed any impairment on performance.

Sorry confused, do you have the OEM ones or the Bosch ones?

Did you pay for front and rear wipers? Or did you get charged £6 for fitting your front wipers? :shocked:

Windscreen wipers are windscreen wipers as far as I'm concerned. They clear the water off the screen and I can see where I'm going. However, there are some anal people around that I'm sure would find fault with them!

Post by: stealthwolf on 16 November 2009, 21:29: RainX always produces mixed reactions. Basically, it's very good if you're doing above 50mph as you don't need wipers but at lower speeds it's crap. Plus in the summer, flies stick to it.
