Was wondering if someone could answer this for me.
After a car has had its waxing done, how can you tell when the wax is all gone and you need to re-apply ? Is it the beading of water that gives it away (If so what are you looking for exactly) or is it the run your finger on the paintwork listening for a 'squeek noise' ?

think the beading is what your looking for, and the deep wet look too!!
but im no expert - ive only just started using wax myself :)

I've always looked out for the lack of beading generally as a means of knowing when a fresh coat is needed

If after washing the water no longer beads then it's time to polish/wax again. Polish if the paint feels rough (a clay might be required) and then wax. Most waxes can be layered to increase the finish and protection.

also look out for patchyness/uneaven beading.
