Title: Front Towing Eye Difference small bumper vs big

Is there a difference in the location/size/distance it pushes out between a 90spec big bumper and a pre 90spec small bumper car.

My car when i bought it had big bumpers on and is 1986 C reg and going to put the bumpers back on and noticed that the towing eye for the front is in a hell of a bad place to go with big bumpers.

I fitted big bumper to my 89 gti. I broke down Sunday and needed a tow had to use rope as I couldn't get a straight towing bar on and was affraid it would ripe the bumper off so I'm going to carring a screw driver to take the bumper off it I need a tow again as its only a couple of screws
