Title: Portable Hoover
Post by: VWKev on 23 October 2009, 12:00
Anyone recommend a handly portable hoover that I can keep in the boot to just bring out and sook up the bits of the outside that gets brought in the car ?

Something that will be fairly powerful and decent battery life and if it can be charged in the lighter socket, all the better.

i bought a black & decker one from argos that plugged into the 12v socket and its not that good, it struggles sucking small stones up, but does the job for a quick clean of the matts and stuff, i just visit the local garage one a week and use there hoover.

wifey is a bit of a dyson hoover nut/fan, whatever you want to call it.....   lol

anyhow she bought the hand held recharable dyson hoover....and i think its brill ,seems to do both cars no trouble on 1 charge, and ive fixed it to the wall in the conservatory ,so it can be used for odd jobs around the house aswell.........nothing stopping you from leaveing it in the car though.

it does not come with a 12v car adaptor though, weather 1 can be bought for it??????

but unlike other rechargeable stuff i have it seems to hold the charge it has very well !!!!!

pat.

I use one of these: clicky (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_380015_langId_-1_categoryId_165640).

Works well enough to pick up very small stones (the bigger ones being ones that you can pick out by hand).

Plugs into 12v socket. Doesn't run without being plugged in but I've used it in the car for over 30 mins (full interior vacuum) without the battery ever going flat.
