There's a couple of threads on buying cabs in the mk1 maintenance section of this site.
There are two types of cabs, Clippers and GTIs. GTIs have fuel injection, Clippers are carbed models. The newer cabs have bigger bumpers and side skirts and these are called "Clipper kits" but can be found on Clippers and GTIs. Confused ! There are lots of cabs around, but if I was looking for one again I'd look for the older special editions of either a Rivage (had one for years and loved it) or a Sportline, but you will pay more for these models.
Have a more detailed look around this section (and the mk1 org site shown above) as between the two there is loads of info. Good luck with your search.

Thanks to all the help and links, will keep checking the forum for info and let you all no how the purchase is getting on!!
Many thanks once again

the OLDER special edition Rivage???? you mean the 91 - 92 Runout model ????
but yeah thats the one to go for, pricey though.
otherwise go for a proper old one, just make double sure its been well looked after!

Oh yeah, I meant later, not older. Sorry Miss.
They were runout models from 91 (J) - 93/94 (L) if you really want to be picky.
