Post by: TANK on 20 October 2009, 14:34
hi all
i have been doing a conversion on my golf syncro swapped it for a 2.0 16v abf seat engine but had a lot of trouble with the wiring so my mate said yesterday f*ck the wirng off and put it on bike carbs is it possible and will it do away wth most of the wiring? is it the easier option?
as im really struggling to find the right wiring diagram for my car

Have you asked Diamond Hell or Dannyp about the wiring? Chances are they can tell you exactly what needs to be done to get the ABF going

there was something about a loom rocking up for this one at some point.

but yup you can can run an ABF on bike carbs.  90% of the conversions i've seen done have all been crap tho as ppl stop tuneing as soon as it runs and never bother to sync the carbs properly or jet them right. the result been 8valves can bully them on the track.  set them rigth it'll go tho tad thirsty tho
