Looking at changing the oil in my mkiv 1.8t.? Can anyone tell me what the best oil would be for this? ???

the very best is a synthetic.... there is no difference between makes........ but i would recomend mobil 1!

its been known to keep engines clean and sludge free!

if thats too dear then a semi synthetic will do the job.....
valvoline durablend, castrol gtx magnatec 10w/40,

or you could go to the dealer and get the gold synta full synthetic oil or the synta silver which is a semi!

the synta is only available at the dealer where as other makes are more freely available!

any of the above oils will do fine!

Definitely go fully synthetic, its not worth risking anything else when you have a turbo engine IMO. Don't forget to replace the sump-plug washer too  ;)
