Title: Help needed....
Post by: 16vLeroy on 19 October 2009, 21:30
Does anyone know if early Mk2 golfs had a smaller (or larger) diameter steering column than the later ones?
Sold a steering wheel on the 'bay, the buyer is claiming it came from a Passat as it won't fit his Golf.....
It definately came from a 1991 Driver, i'd never have a passat, though.

The 90 spec ones just have a spline adaptor over the top - which is actually removable on the MK2.

There was a photo kicking about here, but I don't know where it is.

the adaptor came in early 89, so not a 90spec thing.
