Title: alloys for a golF mk3 gti anniversary.

Hi all,

As the tittle states, im after a set of 17" for my gti but not sure which to go for, as i dont want any spacers just a straight fit. i dont know what to look for, etc offset i know its 100 but what else do i look for? i dont want any arch rubbing/catching, i never done anything like this before so im unsure and need your advice.

I saw a members stunner (GOLF)  :grin: on the weekend in desbury/wakefield on leeds rpad about 6-8ish (PM) all i know he has a mk3 with the grey porsche alloys it looked sweeeeet!. i dont know his name or anything, anyway back to my point. dont want anything typical looking prob tops £250 to spend. what could you recomend? im still in 2minds about buying them as my anni wheels are costing to much to refurb and will be storing them and then if i get a chance il split them & all that.

also pics will be a great advantage. just getting a little taster yet

I think you mean Golf  :grin:

Anyway, Why would you want to spoil the look and ride as original RXII's 16" rims look sweet when fully refurb'd
And with decent tyres they grip well being 7J alloys.......

I think you should keep original alloys and look at lowering the car  :wink:

by the area the golf you saw was kells with porsche d90's (with a special refurb) (no he's longer on here!)

but wheels have to be personal thing.....have a look through these pages and see if you like the look of any of them

i know what you mean but im looking at over £300 for splitting them and having them sorted then put back together, my wife has a baby on the way in 7months, so im in two minds but i think the baby is more inportant then the alloys. im not getting rid of them alloys im just going to put them away, the car has coilovers i think its 60mm drop, just bang on but im thinking of dropping it abit more but them crappy speed bumps are everywherer :sick:.

yeah thats him kells, that car of his is nice! wa colour do you guys think?
