Just a quickie, the air intake on the 16v is in the engine bay, surely it would be more sensible to have it infront of the rad or somthing. I there a simple mod that can be done so its not taking in warm sh!tty air?
Thanks alot, sam

Yes, they are called cold air intakes. Search them on google.

I refuse to listen to sarcastic advice from a man who went out one day and thought to himself 'hey i got some money together for a decent car, i'll get a mk3 golf'
-
I had a mk3.Should of gone on google to find out which bit was gti on it
-
Ha ha, did it not even have a badge on it?
-
Funnily enough no.some one must of pulled the badge off thinking vw made a mistake.
-
the real mistake was the mk3 itself not just the gti badge

what, so I come here to offer some advice and instead I get a sarcastic, not funny and stupid reply? pi$$ off
Google the fooking answer rather than waste my time on stupid stuff, OR search (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?action=search) as this has been discussed over and over and over again!

+1 very true
i have asked my fair share of stupid questions :undecided: but if you know its wrong and how you want to fix it then do it.......duh :smug:

I refuse to listen to sarcastic advice ...
Wrong place then chap - don't ask for help, then moan when someone gives is.
As far as I'm concerned, cold air ducts are a waste of time on road cars, at 30+ mph, the volume of air being forced through the engine bay is massive, the air supply should always be cold. Popping one on might help when getting RR'ed - but its not exactly a real world situation.

there are plenty of cold air intake systems out there for you to use
but there is a search button and there is google or bing or ask.com or whatever you use and it will bring up plenty of answers to suit your questions
and as far as sarcasm......yes its here and you need to get use to it :smug: :lipsrsealed:

wehey dudes chill out LOL. my valver has a plastic cover/deflector that covers the back of the O/S/F head lamp and sits on the air duct on the front of the air filter box. so the air that hits the O/S/F headlamp whilst breaking the land speed record will give you an extra 5bhp! is this missing on yours?
demon tweeks is supposed to be good for ram air stuff.
