Title: Air intake
Post by: Sam on 19 October 2009, 19:34
Just a quickie, the air intake on the 16v is in the engine bay, surely it would be more sensible to have it infront of the rad or somthing. I there a simple mod that can be done so its not taking in warm sh!tty air?
Thanks alot, sam

I refuse to listen to sarcastic advice from a man who went out one day and thought to himself 'hey i got some money together for a decent car, i'll get a mk3 golf'

what, so I come here to offer some advice and instead I get a sarcastic, not funny and stupid reply? pi$$ off
Google the fooking answer rather than waste my time on stupid stuff, OR search (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?action=search) as this has been discussed over and over and over again!

I refuse to listen to sarcastic advice ...

Wrong place then chap - don't ask for help, then moan when someone gives is.

As far as I'm concerned, cold air ducts are a waste of time on road cars, at 30+ mph, the volume of air being forced through the engine bay is massive, the air supply should always be cold. Popping one on might help when getting RR'ed - but its not exactly a real world situation.

wehey dudes chill out LOL. my valver has a plastic cover/deflector that covers the back of the O/S/F head lamp and sits on the air duct on the front of the air filter box. so the air that hits the O/S/F headlamp whilst breaking the land speed record will give you an extra 5bhp! is this missing on yours?

demon tweeks is supposed to be good for ram air stuff.
