Title: 16valver non starter

I have a p reg 16valver, it started and ran fine. took battery off to charge up and now it will not start. it is trying to start but there is no spark whatsoever. can anyone point me to wher to begin please

You certain there is no spark? Check fuel as it maybe an immobiliser problem.

+1    Most likely an immobiliser fault. Check out BoneyBradley's alarm thread below for details on how to reset. I had my battery off the weekend and used it to reset mine. Works great.

can be down to duff crank sensor, common fault. check the wiring to it, usually all cracked and scraggly by now.  also coils a common prob on MK3s
