Title: Brake Pedal Problem
Post by: micfis on 18 October 2009, 13:54
Hi!
Mk3 Gti 2.0L
I have a problem with the brake pedal and brakes, from time to time when I apply pressure to the brake pedal I feel a grinding sensation, not like when the brake pads are worn but much heavier grinding. Also sometimes the brake pedal locks up, meaning it won't push in at all and the brakes don't work. Then after a few seconds the brakes work again. Any ideas?

If the brake pedal is locking up then it could be a master cylinder issue.
