Is there any adjustment for the height at which the clutch peddle bites, mines right at the top, i have tried adjusting the cable although only quickly.
There doesn't seem to be any slip, but i have only taken it for a blast down the road and back.

auto or manual adjust cable?
if auto its stetched and needs replacing, if manual take up the slack on the thread or replace if you cant!
id go for the manual adjusting clutch cable if it needs changing
if that doesnt work your clutch is worn out

Mines *right* at the top, with the cable adjusted as loose as possible - my clutch is definitely on its way to a better place :(

Bugger, i was thinking about this after i posted and i think i may have adjusted the wrong way and taken the slack up so will have to have another play with it when its not raining. It's a manual adjust cable by the way, i think i was just being a mong the other day

I was being a mong, adjusted it again today and all is good, no slip and biteing point feels good, doh!

my biting point is quite high aswell,
i suspect the clutch is worn.
what kind of adjuster is there on a 2000 golf gti 2.0?
will give it ago before i dive in
