It seems that United Grey and Steel Grey are the same colour. Is this correct?
Trying to decide choice of colour. Shadow Blue is too conservative. Rising blue is too Ford ASBO. Have narrowed options down to: Black, Steel grey and Carbon grey. Would be grateful for any United / Steel grey GTI Mk VI pictures.
Also, does anyone know if you can get electric seat adjustment if you specify leather?

Grey is just the best colour on all cars! IMO
Ferrari's, Aston's, M3's etc. All look best in grey. It's the perfect balance of stealth bomber and still bringing out the highlights in design.
Grey day, grey colour, grey life. Boring. YAWN! :rolleyes:Gray does make a good primer
Of all the colours in the world, why or why grey it out?
One would not even choose a grey toilet!
Of all the colours in the world, why or why grey it out? :sick:We're not talking toilets, we're talking cars. Seriously, what colour do you see most Aston's showcased in? Grey. Can't remember the name but there was a limited edition Lambo on Top Gear a while back, the one with jet fighter dials etc, stealth bomber grey. It just looks great! Red is too nickable, black too hard to keep clean, White will go out of fashion.. Grey all the way

White looks good on washing machines, fridges, fridge/freezers, dishwashers and all the other 'white goods' out there
Makes you realise how piss poor all round visibility is on modern cars when you drive an older one regularly, I'm always losing cars in blind spots on my Golf, that simply doesn't happen very often on my 13 year old SEAT.I have been using an old mini in the winter months so know what you meen. I have just been trying to squeeze the mk1 GTI in the corner of the garage to try and make room for the mk6 when it arrives and you forget just how much visability older cars have. The mk1 were one of the cars that use to get slated for bad visability too due to the rear quarters.
One of he reasons i went for the mk6 was it did not have stupid useless quarterlight windows at the front like some of its rivals.Yeah, I'm with you on that Snoops, and I have a nasty feeling the next generation Golf will have that feature just like the Leon does (sister car). Fingers crossed that won't happen. The new Polo just avoids it (black plastic blanking plate instead) so there may be hope for the Golf!
While the R is a subtle car, spending over £30k on a grey car to make it look like a diesel.
It will be Common, but it has to be blue for me.
I need to make one of those videos like in the general section about black wheels
