gooday peeps. in the boot of my 97 gti 16 there is a bracket on the left hand side with a rubber strap on it. wtf is it for.. coz if its not useful then im turfin it and building me a sub enclosure.
-
on my vr its where the jack and warning triangle are located.
-
Indeed, it was supposed to hold a first aid box and warning triangle, the jack should strap into the spare wheel i believe.
-
jack on mine goes in spare wheel, strap is for hazard triangle ect.
-
yep, the jack goes with the spare wheel. the strap and harness you refer to was for a first aid kit. Never seen a car with an actual kit strapped in though!
-
And if it was there, it would be old and useless.
-
If you take it off its 3 holes are very useful for securing a sub to!
-
sweeet, cheers guys. yeah my jack is with my unused spare. sooooo sub it is. cant go from my T4 with 2 p2's to the golf with nowt. just dont seem fair.
-
I use mine to keep in place 2 spare electric window components :-)
You never know when you need them, especially when the electric windows on these are pants :-)
-
Secured my sub in with these
