Post by: bobreece on 15 October 2009, 03:12

most people are pushing 220-250bhp with a hybrid - its unlikely you'll get much more out of the engine unless you are willing to spend a silly amount of money

injectors are not required when fitting a hybrid turbo

I'd suggest having a look at some of the build threads on http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/

Plenty of people on there who have gone the hybrid route and still using the standard injectors.  I think there are a couple of Fabia's pushing a silly amount where the injectors have been changed but you're then looking at a silly amount of torque which IMO would require an LSD to help put the power down

generally those that have changed their injectors have been starting with the lower powered 90, 110 and 115bhp engines

The 130 / 150 injectors can handle upto 250bhp before you should look into upgrading them

What sort of power are you trying to acheive?

Yeah the injectors will be fine   Plenty on ukmivs have been running hybrids for a while now using the standard injectors and reliability seems to be fine........

Hope you got deep pockets :afro:  There is a guy who is running an Audi A3 i think with nos, water / methonal injection.  I 'think he's at the 350bhp mark!!

it is 4wd also believe with out NOS its pushing 230bhp but that was before all the new mods and methanol injection

Also I thought upgraded injectors cost £250 each without fitting  :undecided:
