few things on the golf have been bugging me so thought i may as well put them right then thought if i'm doing that i may as well do........
and the list has got a bit serious now and that kind of surgory ain't going to be happening outside as as thinkking about doing more work on cars with a mate his garage was / got volunteered. the problem is sometimes we both get a bit carried away when on a mission. but anyway after 2 days of moveing sh!t in an outwards direction we had a bare concrete floor. so then we thought it would be a good idea to ply the cieling to stop sh!t dropping down and maybe keep some warmth in,,,, then we added a few lights 6x 150w halogens and 2 x floresent strip lights and 2x 100w uptop

we thought that looked rather good inprovemnt for the effort. then someone said lets render it so we dont have to look at the crappy blocks and it'll be easyer to clean and get the dust out.
so this happend

one slight problem tho, we we were hopeing to get away with one coat and float it good enough but the render had diffrent ideas andstarted been ghay so lee and i decided to call a f**kit and deal with it by putting another coat on at a later date and scratched it all up
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/dannyp1595/garage/08102009030.jpg)
now we were presented with a whole load of render to 2nd coat but then we changed the plan again, and decided to plaster it, easyer faster and smoother finish again

the pics are a bit crap cos there off phone but current plan is now to paint the walls and cieling white, put a screed over the floor ( pritty much just because we can ) and seal it with epoxy paint
Q ? think were getting carried away yet ?

Good work, you might as well do it whilst you can :)
-
good work, you need some of that self leveling floor stuff next :afro: then you can setup the geometry in there as well

When does the car work start :-P good work i always wanted to plaster my garage walls but xurrently got a leak in the roof

Is that going to be garage or a bedroom
My cousin works for a company (Morgan Polymers) that make industrial floor paint - if you want me to ask for prices, let me know.

anyone wonderign why we botherd ? oh guess whats gettign painted next

Best to make mistakes on something you don't give a flying f*ck about, I reckon.
Where's that dinky little compressor you had off me?
-
exactly, practice for the golf :)
the dinky air compressor is say by the tree and getting a 10 HP petrol engine bolted on it but when tonka toys are avalible it'll get mover to compressor nest allongside garage. to become the mahoosive emergency extra air supply. but where we are petrol is managable cos the mains wouldn't take anymore load
-
oh guess whats gettign painted next
cement mixer in the background ?
-
top work mate nicely done hey just cuase its a corsa dont mean its crap (ive owned two opps)
-
Nice!
I hope the next paint job will be a windows out job
Did you wet the floor to keep the dust down?
-
f**k starting straight on your golf, its worth spending time on a wanky car before your pride and joy!
-
the corsa had bonded windscreen so we thought that would be a bit keen on the experiment car. it did it's job well TBH and highlighted a few things that need attention before the golf gets done.
we did wet the floor down, really need to get some plastic coveralls as the amount of dust that comes off you is quite supriseing. and yes the golf will be windows out, and everything else as well. it cost a couple of hundred to do the corsa in materials but well worth it, it came up more than good enough for what it is but it taught a few lessons that i think we chould have only learned by actualy doing it. net one should come up much better much easyer
-
Earthing the car and gun is rumoured to reduce static and keep dust down :)
-
ummmm, dint think of that. noted and something will be arranged
