Title: Roof gutter trims
Post by: VR6-Joe on 15 October 2009, 01:00
Well, this isn't like me, asking for help, it's normally the other way around

Anywho... I have something planned for the roof of my car so will need to remove the rubber roof gutter trims because masking them off simply won't do the job..

Today I thought I'd stick a screwdriver between the trims and the roof to lever the trims off and I soon established that they're held onto the roof with gay plastic clips as I broke 3 of them but luckily was able to nick some off the TDI..

What I want to know is.. how are they held on down the side of the windscreen? Are they the same clips? I don't wanna bend the strips or break anything important!

Thanks in advance :)

I am 99% sure they are the same clips as I looked at removing them on mine when I did the roof.

Cheers mate, just what I wanted to hear :)

Those clips are simple to replace but windscreens aren't

don't bend the trims as they have metal in them and they wont fit correctly again!!
