Title: My car sounds like a diesel
Post by: T_J_G on 14 October 2009, 15:21: Oil level is fine, I've looked around the engine bay and the only problem is the split oil breather hose (I knew about this) and possibly the bung on my TIP:

Can someone confirm that the bung is meant to be right the way down?

His oil level was fine,but it turns out his oil pump wasn't and it starved his engine of oil.No warning light either :shocked:

Get it checked out asap.

im going to do the same as my cars making wierd buzzing sound seems change when use my heater so must be something do with that :undecided:

Post by: T_J_G on 15 October 2009, 17:30: Umm, I think it's just me being paranoid. There is a rattling sound but it's not loud at all.it may be from where I've had a fiddle around. I'm going to secure everything tomorrow morning and see how I go from there.

Thiknig oil pump or pick up pipe now after research...

Mine is booked in for the once over on Wednesday - Think I found the coolant leak and going to get teh lower breather pipe changed. I cant wait for the silicone version so just gonna get a standard replacement from VW (although last time I was there they couldn't identify the part on ETKA?)
