Title: Coolant warning.

Ok got this flash up at me today. Im a car novice but learning. It said check coolant. Is this bad?

If it has emptied the coolant expansion bottle, then yes - bad sh!tz brovver!  :grin:

Do NOT open the cap whilst the engine is warm though - wait till it is stone cold - and ONLY top up with the genuine Volkswagen G12++ coolant (mix it with water at 50:50).  Check it every morning when the engine is cold, and if it completely empties the expansion bottle again, a trip to the stealers is needed.

checked level , just needs topping up . need a visit to stealer anyway.

If you keep getting the Coolant warning light have a look at this thread

or get them to check the flange when you have it serviced to save it going back in.
