Hiya,
I have a late 16v mk2 that has a buggered clutch thingy ma jig. From an earlier post I understand that this is something to do with the clutch mechanism in or around the gear box. The car is essentially undriveable as the clutch pedal will stay down on the floor and not return up.
Does anyone know a good place in the Christchurch/Bournemouth area that can do this and I guess collect the car? Or if anyone is handy with this i'm happy to pay in beer vouchers....

I had the same problem several weeks ago.. found myself at a junction with no clutch, I initialy thought it was the clutch cable.
Anyways.. The arm that the clutch is attached to is part of the Snail Cam assembly, the snail cam broke and damaged the little bearing behind it(Or so I was told.)
Mr Clutch repaired replaced and repaired at a cost of £90.
Happy days
