Hey. I'm living in Helston, Cornwall these days and was wondering what sort of meets and things happen down there. Be it a few lads meet in a car park for a laugh or monthly/yearly meets, I'm intrested in the lot. Cheers all.
-
hi mark, have wondered that myself. if nothing is happening then i might if its ok with the mods organise something down here. im in camborne.
-
theres not alot going on. A few of us meet up pool macs occasionally, usually its just a few of us over a mates house with beers, filmage and some vdub talk on the side.
get something regular going
-
i did see a lot of nice rides(not dubs) in macs few nights ago. if there is enough interest i will speak to the powers at be and put a monthly together. already organise a T4 the first weds of every month.

I vote a smokey joes diner meet. Or halfway house.
(i am of course basing these locations around a need for epic amounts of food)

let me know if you guys do sort summit and il head down with a couple of ppl  been wanting to go cornwall for a while since rtts

Nice bit of response here, happy with that. At the moment my Golf is stored in Essex being worked on but should be on the road by mid February (provided all goes to plan).
When it is, we should all get together somewhere and show Cornwall that there is a VW scene to be proud of!

I'm still waiting till I can get my VW back on the road, hoping that come mid February it'll be down here. I reckon we should start to look towards march time for something to happen. What you guys say?

I reckon try and arrange sumthin for around the end of Feb.
I`v got few golfs from my end that will be up for it.

-
Yeah, I was only scouting out interest, not planned to arrange anything at all! Might have to go out and buy myself another Golf just so I can get to any meets that get planned!
-
Shall we plan something then
-
can do. if people put up where they are coming from we can find a centralish place to have it.
im the regional coordinator on the T4 froum and we meet the first weds eve(this weds) of every month but in the summer we usually meet at cardinham woods near bodmin on a sunday. barby facility@s and plenty of parking plus if ya got kids theres a very shallow stream and plenty of room to play or even footy for the big kids. or pub it. which ever.
-
How about late breakfast / lunch at somewhere like praa sands cafe or the Fistral Blu / blue bar in porthtowan, all got big carparks, good views of the sea and potential photo opportunities if people are that way inclined?

I'm liking the late breakfast idea, lol!
If something gets planned then give me a shout. I think I'm getting my hands on a mk2 GTi off a mate, but I work shift work and work a lot of weekends. But I will always try and blag time off, lol!
