i hope it passes , if it dont and costs alot of money ,i dont know what to do....i think it will fail on rear bushes ,maybe exhaust as its rusty ,proberly running to rich as it smells like it ,this could be the end of my golf as i was made redunent and dont have the money to fix it and get 6 months tax....i hope it passes  :cry:

not at the garage i take it to they send 2 hours finding every fault ,the last car i took there had to be scraped because of a massive list of faults ,the year before it passed at a different garage they said it was a lovery car i did 2000 miles before i took it to this garage  :cry:

The MOT test will be exactly the same wherever you go. Like you said though maybe the garage is trying to "pull a fast one" and do work that isnt required?

Beg to differ on this.... The MOT at any garage is only as good as the tester!!

On paper its the same, in life its not. you get some very strick testers and some lenient :smiley:

£160 for all back bushes....i was quoted £340 by a different garage :cry:

I paid £200 for rear bushes and front droplinks and they also needed to weld plate back on lower arms what droplinks bolt to as they come off.
