I understand that if i wanna get an oil catch can that i need one with 19mm ports. is it not possible to get one with smaller ports?
Thanks
-
you can but you will need to reduce the pipe down when it gets to the can. Not sure how this would affect the flow though
I'm sure you could sort out 3 people to do a GB  (speak to Topher and Rhyso )
-
i will do that. BaV already spoke to saikoumitchi or however you spell it about getting one for us for £75. but i was hoping to find on cheaper lol (no luck ATM)
and also, did you say that piping was Bilge something or other?
Cheers mate

the bigger ports the better to be honest, it'll breath easier then
plus, with the OE pipework tending to be 19mm / 3/4" just makes it easier, less connections, looks tidier

does the catch can come with all the pipes needed
Id be interested if its a good price
-
i'm not too sure Steve. Wazzer used some other pipe with his saikoumitchi one which was pretty cheap for what it is (i think)
And pat. Cheers mate, i read that one earlier which convinced me even more to need a tank lol.
-
No I bought my pipe separately from Hosequip - it's oil resistant stuff and so far seems good

Maybe if we could get a few more of us,we could get that price down a little further?
I'd be interested.

i just sent an e-mail saying i could get a couple more people interested. i really need it by the 23rd though so it would have to be something quick lol
-
The only problem you've got is customs. When I ordered mine he only wanted to send 3 at a time so not to attract attention to them, otherwise any saving will probably be cancelled out with their charges.
If you got a load of definites together and asked for them to be sent in 3s he might give you all a bit more discount... It's worth asking anyways
-
yeah i'd be interested
anyone know if the same size pipe is used for us diesel boys?? :undecided:
-
well me and BaV are gonna order over the next couple of days for three so who ever deffo wants it let BaV know asap and see what he says about it
-
PM sent
-
I might do a group buy over on ukmkivs and see if we can get them further down in price.

Just got my Saikou Michi catch can on a Briskoda group buy.
Excellent quality, only took a couple of weeks to come through.
Main benefit of buying this one is that it is 19mm throughout so no restrictions
And... no you don't get any hoses with this lol.
-
how much did you get it for?
-
it was about £65.00 paid to Saiko (depending on what exchange rate you get)
Then I paid the person running the GB a further £10.70 for the cutoms charges we got (not a lot as they mark them as $20/$30 value) and the postage in the UK.
So £75.00 all in
Gonna cost more than that for the hoses, clamps, t-piece etc lol
-
thats about what has been quoted for 3 cans delivered to one address here
hoses and stuff i'm sure i can acquire through work lol
Thanks for the info
-
mmmm something i may think about its on my list  :lipsrsealed:

I'll take a picture of the mount over the weekend for you mate
It is only mounted with the supplied bracket, I had to get 1 more bolt to make it work and there's not a lot of clearance with the water hose but you'll see once I post the pic up
