I've bought at vr6 1993 reg with 3 months tax and 9 months mot, 123000miles for £200.
The catch is it dosent start due to dodgy immobiliser, i think the coil is on its way out and maybe the fuel pump.
Its in alright condition cosmetically like.
have i bought a shed or bargin????
-
Could be a bargain.
-
Big mistake! Sell it to me!
Nah mate sounds like a bargain if you can get it sorted cheaply!
-
fix her up with used parts and sell on for a bit more?
Or you could get a bigger headache later on? :smug:
-
Depends what the engines like when you do get it started, got to ask yourself why did previous owner sell it so cheap if its an easy fix?
-
How do you know the coil and fuel pump are playing up if the immobiliser is stopping it from starting?? Cheers Deano
-
good luck quality buy tho id pay that for a whole car just for spares
-
Good which ever way you go. Breaking it or fixing it. You can only make with that.
-
well i know the lad i've bought it off, he payed £950 for it  will he had it it wasrunning poorly and showing signs of the coil packing in. there is also some fuel leaking from the fuel pump.
Tonight however i've managed to get the engine to turn over,so it looks like the immobilser has decided to work (for now) but it wouldn't fire
i'm thinking of getting a clifford specialist to remove the whole thing, at least then i know what im dealing with.
-
i agree with what DarnPB has said, if u break it u will prob make your money back and if its a cheap fix, u got a vr6 on the cheap

AFAIN The factory immobiliser disables the fuel pump and HT circuit so the engine 'will' still turn over but not fire......However I thought they didn't fit the factory option until 95 but could be wrong there.

You can only make money with that tbh!
