Title: FAO all decked 1.8T's and 1.9TDI's

In the mag advert it states it will fit "All 1.8T and 1.9 TDI derivatives" :smiley:

Post by: tg1 on 12 October 2009, 12:18: Call me daft but, wouldn't having a shallower sump mean less oil capacity? wouldn't that mean during hard cornering you'd get oil starvation? Not really sure how the oil systems really work tbh but if you don't use it hard i guess it might be ok?

Might all be nosense mind, :laugh:

Cos then you drive a standard MK5 and realise just how sh!t the MK4 really is; even when a few quid has been spent on it

I Was telling BaV about them the other day. apparently nothing needs adjusting like Dog-bone, driveshaft etc even though the hole engine can be an inch higher? if i ever go reaaaalllly low then the spacers and shallow sump may be FTW

wouldn`t it make more sense to have a dry sump (relocated) and have the ability to leave the engine where it is?.

ive seen this on some cars (french) where they actually lower the engine thus bringing the centre of gravity closer to the ground, if you get me?.. probably cost a fortune and i know youre after something to give you some ground clearance but wouldnt raising the weight have downsides!.
