Hi ALL,
I have just joined and HOPING somebody can help me PLEASE!!!
I recently bought a P-reg 2ltr GTi 8v....3 Door! The problem is.....once the car is up to temp its seems to have an issue accelerating past 3000rpm....almost like its being held back and a slight splutter? I have noticed that if the car is cold this problem does not occur and it accelerates like a rocket!!!
SO....I am hoping that somebody out there has had the same problem or atleast knows what I am dealing with and can HOPEFULLY help me!!! I am newly converted to VW as I have grown up with Ford and therefore want to make this work not just for my own pleasure but also to have a bit of bragging rights.....
SO I am out on a limb here guys!!!

purely a guess but sounds like its not getting enough air or fuel.
So, logic would tell me to check the fuel pump is working ok, and maybe air flow sensor????
Maybe thinking more the sensor as you are getting it when its warm and its breaking down then.
Maybe a call/trip to the scrap yard/ vw breakers for a price on a cheap used one?
Dont count me on that though lol.
