currently only held up with some wood stuck inside door to stop thieves from pulling window down oh and car alarmed in private car park haha

seriously no1 has any ideas??

theres a bracket that holds thew cable to the window cradle that breaks, fairley common, i took mine apart and fixed it but scrap ones arent that expensive,
Dont belive haynes you dont have to take out windows to get out the regulator.

I've just recently had to fix both my rear windows, same problem as you explain.
You have to take the regulator out of the door and you'll see that the the cable has broke free of the window clamp..and if it is the same problem you should see some bits of broken white plastic in the bottom of the door
There's a lug on the cable which locates into the plastic fitting on the clamp..I read somewhere about using some cable ties to wrap around the cable and back through the clamp with something for the ties to pull onto preventing pulling back through the clamp..I was sceptical of this cable tie idea but i tried it and it worked! and no problems so far.

lol i did the cable tie thing but the motor is so powerful it snaped it straight away  made a proper repair by riveting a steel piece in to hold the cable on
-
Yep good idea that.. i managed to wrap two ties around the thing for good measure but i guess it's could go again.

ah i just bought a new regulator seeing as i work for eurocar parts and i get staff discount got it really cheap gona fit it tommorow when its light outside!
-
my window makes clunking sound goes up down

Take the door card off, peel back the polythene cover then operate the window, see if you can determine where the problem is, maybe a worn regulator..I know on one of mine it clanked sometimes when closing and i could see the lug on the cable had come free of the window clamp and was catching on an eye hole the runner..that was the drivers window which gets all the use so i replaced the whole regulator.
