Alrite just wondering what are the best tyres to go for on a 7j 15inch rim , would 205's with a small profile around 40-50 be to wide for all four wheels , or maybe run this set up on the back with some 195's on the front?
i'm just looking for the best tyres size's for handling , my golf is lowered 70 at front and 60 at rear, if the 195's are the best go for would spacing them out be alrite ? i just want the back to look nice and wide but still have the handleing!
Cheers Joe

mines 60'd all round with 195/50/15's and it pretty sweet just need better seats now so i dont keep sliding around lol

195/50/15's ftw

I've got 195/50 on my 7Js which seems good with my 40mm drop. I think it looks good too. Mine scrub though due to being et24. What et have you got with your huge drop? If you space out 7js with a 60mm drop they will surely scrub without arch work.

Ah, but what do you mean by handling?
Steering feel?
Ride Comfort?
Progressive grip ?

I've got Rainsport IIs which come in 195/50/15 - they're comfy, don't flex under hard load and are v. grippy.

right now ive got 7j at the back with the old tyres i had on my 6j's Pirelli p6000 185/55/15 and im rubbing because i dont know how low i am  but i will be going for 195/45/15's or 195/50/15's just for the back

just switched back to 195/50/15's, not so much the handling, but car is more comfy than the 195/45/15's on the bumps

im binning my 195'45's for a set of 195'50's. The ride comfort is horrible on the 45's
