Title: Votex Splitter fitted
Post by: Rhyso on 10 October 2009, 16:29
Following on from  this thread  (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=131053.0) I took a chance and with the aid of Wes (Wazzzer) bought what appeared to be a genuine Votex front splitter for £20

Using work i had it collected and delivered to work, arriving on Thursday

So with a few hours spare I set to work

Needs a couple of coats more so I'll do that tomorrow.  Well pleased and an absolute bargain

Thanks goes to Miggie for spotting it, Wes for buying it for me and the numpty on Ebay who had no idea of its true value

it was the prequel to the Anni splitter

yeah - just bought some primer and Satin black tins from Halfords, used various grades of wet & dry and went from there.  Did the rear valence in the same way

Needs another coat or two but I'm impatient and wanted to fit on the weekend

Its not a great finish but then for £10 or so of paint and a few hours on a Saturday afternoon I'm not complaining
