Title: Best Mk4?

Whats the best 1.8T 20V year? Im getting my Golf very soon i have the money sorted just waiting for the right one to pop up i will be getting it re mapped by r tech and a custom exausht and forge bits and bobs which is the best one to go for i know the engine codes and stuff varey would just like to know which you would recmoned im thinking 99 or 2000?

Try and get as new a car as possible with an AUM engine (which are fly by wire throttle) as these should have the KO3s turbo which give you more for remaps etc. The earlier AGU engine is stronger but is limited by the turbo for mods.

An AGU fith a KO3s turbo seems to be the best option, Quite a few people have converted to the KO3s so you may be lucky & find a Golf with it already done  :wink:
