Bought my Bora with 59k on the clock and the service book is fully stamped up, last service was done at 58k which included a cambelt change at a VW dealers (looks like a proper stamp). Now when I start up, there is a message on the dash which says "Service in 1800 miles".
Could the VW stamp be fake? How can I find out? Could VW just have not reset the display? Do I need to be worried? If I thought the cambelt hadn't been done I wouldn't have bought the car. I have no access to VAGCOM etc so am a bit in the dark on this.
Any suggestions??

There is a simple way to reset the message. Search on here.
The VW garage could have forgot to do it. Ring them if your concerned they will have the records on their system hopefully.
