Title: Carbon fiber Wrap door grab handles **UPDATES**

I had some carbon fiber vinyl offcuts spare so i thought I'd have a go at the drivers side door handle. I didn't have enough to do the whole lot and I didn't want to break into a fresh roll so I covered what I thought was the most complex area.

I did this only as an experiment and it turned out pretty good. Hopefully you should see some pop up for sale on ebay aswell as other parts too... :D

Cool.

How hard is it to wrap things? I keep thinking it's really difficult to bend?

It can be hard but once you get going it gets a bit easier. It just depends where you start your foil etc.

By center console trim do you mean around the gear stick or the bits around the stereo; cupholder aircon etc?

Maybe not gonna have the handles up for sale today, Cant get the parts till tuesday... Ahwell.

just got some 3m carbon of jimbooboo had carbon before the 3m stuff very nice

handle passenger side, driver side to do, gone dark now

The delivery was quick, I only dispatched them yesterday lol.  I thought there was a postal strike on so i was expecting delays.

Oh btw fellow gti owners
Ill have some of the drivers side handles in tomorrow. Aswell as some ash tray covers. Ill get the links up once they've been wrapped.

Group is even better. Ill get the parts in for saturday.

Both drivers side and passenger side door trim/ grab handles?

Aswell as ashtray covers etc.


Can even do the center console around the gearstick etc. Looks pretty sweet once done.

Other parts available on request atm. Any parts in particular you want?

Yeah i'd be very interested mate
Drivers side (2 door) and passenger side if possible and ashtray cover.
How much are you looking for or is it an auction job ?
Or would you cover my old standard drivers and passenger handles if i sent you them ?(at a cost obviously)

I would be interested in buying drivers side and passengers side handles for a 3 door, front ashtray cover, And then heater controlls surround (3 dial type) And also either front cup holder flap with the two side bits of the dash or just a sheet of the matterial and i will do the cup holder and the side bits myself.

I think it might eb the lighting but in the pics it has like a blue sort of tint to it.

It looks more black in real life.

seeing as i'm a cheeky bugger How do you get the bit on the d/s handle (the wood bit) covered as i'm doing it in a brushed ali finish and am struggling to get a good finish around the corners? done it a few times and can't get it right for love or toffee

On Saturday, after a trip to VW I will have

4 Drivers Side door handles (3 door)
2 Passenger Side Grab Handles (Front 3 Door)
4 Astray Cover
3 Aircon/Standard Heating Dial Surrounds
2 Climatronic Surrounds

Unfortunatly I don't have any over the center console side trims on stock as they are about 80 quid a set... So If you want those in carbon you'll have to send them. However I will have a browse on the net to see If I can get hem any cheaper.

I'm thinking agout getting heater vent (Bora ones) to be wrapped, but I thought I'd ask you guys on what you thought, would anyone be interested in them or is it OTT?

Sure you dont want any heat trims or anything? lol

Ill put one aside for you then lol... Think I'll order a few more passenegr side handles etc to get me through the week lol...

Ive got a load of postal supplies coming next week including 60m of bubble wrap, so no need to worry about the items getting battered.  :laugh:
