hi all
i have added a powersteering rack to my mk2 but i assumed that it would fit to the orignal steering shaft but i found out thats not the case :(
i know a guy breaking a mk3 golf with powersteering and i was wondering if any one here knows if the steering shaft would fit my mk2 rack?
thanks :)

I don't think that will fit, you need a mk2 pas uj assembly.
-
no mk3 has a larger spline on the rack, as above it must be a MK2, early Corrado (late Rado has MK3 size rack spline) or equivalent year SEAT Ibiza/Toledo

sorry not sure what the uj assembly is! is it number 14 in this picture? aslo im guessing it comes as one part and i cant just take the ends off?

Power steering is such a womans tool... all about the rack and pinion!

come on really should downgrade to tie rods and cog boxes

Why wrestle with the steering wheel when you can have power steering  sod manual
Ive got a mk2 UJ if you need it mate. I need a mk3 one

part 14 , i think m3 one fits but you have to shorten the lengh of the shaft by the bolts in middle.
