Title: power steering problems!
Post by: Gareth on 09 October 2009, 01:36
hi all

i have added a powersteering rack to my mk2 but i assumed that it would fit to the orignal steering shaft but i found out thats not the case :(

i know a guy breaking a mk3 golf with powersteering and i was wondering if any one here knows if the steering shaft would fit my mk2 rack?

thanks :)

I don't think that will fit, you need a mk2 pas uj assembly.

no mk3 has a larger spline on the rack, as above it must be a MK2, early Corrado (late Rado has MK3 size rack spline) or equivalent year SEAT Ibiza/Toledo

you need a mk2 pas uj assembly.

part 14 , i think m3 one fits but you have to shorten the lengh of the shaft by the bolts in middle.
