Title: Steering issues
Post by: kingalidaei on 05 October 2009, 13:18
Hi,

I have noticed lately that when driving my mk3 golf gti in wet weather that when i hit a sharp bend, roundabout etc that the power steering goes completly and im left with very hard steering. When i return to a "normal road" it is fine again. This only hapens in wet weather never in the dry. Any ideas what this could be.

Regards

Loose/worn PAS belt - when the water splashes it starts to slip, which results in super heavy steering.
