Afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
I've just started tinkering with what was supposed to by my mk3 16v daily run-a-round that i was supposed to be leaving as stock.....
I used to have a mk2 16v with all the works doing 180bhp and I had the full miltek system and 4 branch for it and it sounded amaaaazing. My mate (who also happens to be my mechanic) was putting on my coilovers and new rear axles bushes yesterday and noticed my exhaust was knocking rather badly. It turns out the whole thing is rotten and rather than buy a standard jobby its a good excuse to buy a S/S system as it wont rust (which is the excuse I've provided to the wife for spending £350 ).
I just wondered if anybody had a Miltek cat-back system on their mk3 valver and what they thought of it? I've got it down to Jetex or Miltek in my own head, and I'm sure I'll fork out the extra for a Miltek system - but have never seen or heard them on anything but a mk2.
Also any pics of your jetex or miltek or even any other branded s/s system (apart from upswept tail-piped jobbies - as not a fan of them)

Jetex ftw.

miltek is the best, not many on here with them i doubt as a mk3 is a poor mans golf! :lipsrsealed:

pleeeeeeeease get a milltek!! Then make some youtube videos of it :nerd: i've got a full jetex, but i would definitely get a milltek next summer whilst working, if i can hear what one sounds like on a 16v!! Can you honestly think of a car that doesn't sound fantastic with a milltek? There's two cars in my town, one fieta ST, and one audi R8, that have milltek exhausts and i can't think of nicer sounding cars in my town
By the way, my jetex does sound great. I only revved it up in neutral with the door open and me outside the other night for the first time, when i was in the countryside as i don't like sounding like an asshole in town  it pops every time you let off above 5000rpm, and sounds so throaty! but its by all means not too loud in car when driving about. Both would be a great choice, but i'd get a milltek if it was me; worth the extra pennies

just a bit of info, Jetex make 2 and 3 box systems, Milltek is better quality but a lot more money also the gains will be around the same.
-
my personally taste is that the jetex is too quiet/stock sounding

3 box is quiet, 2 box system is a lot louder

Gone for the Milltek - just because I've had one before and I know I like the sound I'll get.
