Title: Borbet centre caps help
Post by: e11ie on 04 October 2009, 13:38
Currently on my car I have borbet RST's but no centre caps. The wheels are prety hard to come by anyway and finding centre caps for them is proving ni-on imposible! I've tralled German ebay and everything.

I have however noticed that they come with two centre cap possibilities, one attaching like the borbet A centre caps do with a hex bolt thingy. Obv these are easier to come by, thing is when I look at my wheels they dont seem to have any sort of fixing point for the bolt.

I was hoping someone could perhaps post a pic of how a type A cap attaches to the wheel or if anyone knows if any other caps would fit!

Here are some pics.....

lol they would look even better with centre caps!

Had another look at my alloys and the only thing i can think the caps would screw into is the wheel bolt...do they do like a special bolt with an internal threaded head?!

yeah the top ones do but the flat ones have a screw like borbet A centre caps and just wondering how they attach to the borbet A because mine dont seem to have anything that a screw would screw into!

Think i may have found the answer oto my own question!

Found these on the bay and if you look at the wheel missing the centre cap it has a little hole for a screw...for the flat type cap obv. Well mine doesnt have that so looks like I'll continue my needle in a haystack search for the other type of centre cap!!
