I admit they look much better without all the crappy fading plastic.

its only removing the arches... hoping you dont have rust, polishing the paintwork underneath where the arch was, and fitting some CL trim by the front arch... simples

Trust me it is easy, took me all off 4 hours to remove all the kit and replace the bumpers and side trimes with CL spec ones, gave it a good polish as required.

theres a shed cl down my road for sale for few hundred quid, ill buy it and do a straight swap? then all these 'mods' will already be done..

The GTI side trims are thicker than CL side trims so technically he'd have to buy a complete set of CL side trims. Which I just so happen to have

striping gti trim and fitting the cl trim and bumpers would be easy and prob cheap but having it all sprayed after is wear id be screwed lol i couldn't afford a respray :embarassed:

If you really wanna take the arches and skirts off.. then do it
All you'll need to do is buff the arches up where the arch covers have been, and fit CL side trims. Nothing needs spraying, just as easy as fitting them onto the car.
-
got to hope there are arches under the trim tho :lipsrsealed:

The arches are rivvetted on, just drill them out, you need a complete set of CL side trims and they clip on.
-
surely if they are rivitted on its going to take more that a buff to look mint again

No as the rivets are under the arch edge, when you remove it you will see what I mean.
