What I do need is for Sky to update their Samsung Sky+ HD boxes to the new EPG so I can tune into ITV's HD service.
how would you do that? i thought you could only get itv hd on freesat. is there a way of getting it on sky then?

I watched the game in glorious HD last night on the weird channel with no listing!!!
I have one of the very first HD boxes - which I had to modify the PSU in when all the capacitors blew!
The only good thing about it was that I got the new EPG on the day they released it :drool:

Yeah you need thew new EPG mate, if you have it and need the instructions on how to tune in the channel lemme know.

The EPG is the program guide that you use to flick through the channels etc. the new one looks a lot diff from the only one and has a little tv preview of the channel at the top right hand corner. Simplest way of saying this is that if you dont have a little tv preview when your flicking through the channels then you dont have it yet. Sky are targeting the update by the manufacturer of the HD boxes, if you dont have it yet you will soon-ish. You wont know its happening either, you'll just wake up one morning and voilla. :grin:
To get ITV HD on Sky, do this...
Search for other channels and put in these details
Frequency - 11.427
Pol - H
SR - 27.5
FEC - 2/3
Channel will save as 10510.

doh, course it is! :laugh: i do have the new programme guide - we have had it for months whereas everyone else i know hasn't got it yet!
so if i do that i can watch itv hd?! that is f7cking sweet - cheers mate that is awesome!! no more footy pixalation on w@nky itv1 for me anymore!!

Also, almost forgot. When its added all you do to launch it is goto other channels (I think its called that, cant remember off the top of my head) then you put in your PIN number and all you will see listed is that single channel on its own, all you will see is 10510.

wicked, cheers mate! there is nothing worse than getting used to watching sky sports in hd then having to watch sh1tty itv and its sh1tty signal - not anymore!!! you are a legend kev! :cool:

ITV HD is absolutely useless apart from Tuesday and Wednesday nights - as the majority of the time its off! Occassionally you'll get a film, but generally the Champions League games are all thats worth watching. The only downer is that you can't get a listing for it... and for some reason you can't rewind it! There was a PSP Gran Turismo advert during the break and I tried to rewind to see the new PSP Go - but I got some 'service not available' p1sh error. Thats probably as its only meant to be recieved on the Red Button on ITV on Freesat.
