I've just yesterday put my 16s on my GTi all was well n gd until I went to work today. When drivin ova 55 the steering wheel wobbles enough 2 be noticable. I am wondering if I need to get sum 3mm spacers as the et is only 32? Am I thinking right or do I have another problem on my hands?? Any help would be gd peeps.
Many cheers n thanks all round

Hi Mate If the wheels were catching it would happen at 5 mph and not just over 55. The wheels may need balancing for your car - take it to a tyre fitter who can do it for you. Hope this helps Cheers Deano

cheers deano was thinking much da same. I'll go2 tyre place n make sure da wheels are balanced propa - as some tools do work in places like that!

Wheel balancing or missing spigot ring.
-
as said..try balancing first, and while there off check how the wheels fit over the hub centre (as some need spiggot rings to locate them centrally) also give the hub fave a rub over with wet/dry paper

Also check all your wheel bolts are tight and tyre pressures are ok
