Does anyone know where I can quickly get 2 standard front brake calipers?
Turns out my new replacement alloys wont fit as the brakes are'nt standard gti brakes. Or should I go down the spacer route?
Thanks, Jack

What makes you say there not std gti brakes??....there's only 2 options of 280mm discs fitted to mid 95 and later 288mm disc versions and where is it touching as some people have shaven a few mm of the caliper edge to stop rubbing
oh and i've renamed the thread so we can get further info before you waste cash

Well at the garage the rear brakes fitted fine but the brake calipers would catch on the front.
The alloys are rs4 replicas with an offset of 35.
Any help is happily considered

3 or better still 5mm spacers will sort that (the o.e offset is et43) and that extra 8mm will make the difference! even with std wheels the calipers close to the rim edge!!

As above, 3mm spacers will cure it.

Is that just a halfords jobby?

Yes they will be ok.

Ok nice one :). Will I need new bolts with spacers? Or How big a spacer can I go without new bolts. Thanks

While I'm here.. If my old alloys had an offset of 32 and these 35s are catching would a 3mm suffice?

Yes and the bolts will be fine.

what wheels did you have with the 32 offset?? std wheels are usually et43
-
Again they're rs4 reps. I couldn't find another pair with an offset of 32 so had to go for 35s

yeah as already stated, spacers will work fine, i had this problem previously spacers fitted job done

FFS  Bought the stupid lil 3mm spacers from halfords and they dont fit properly. Think i've discovered first hand why they're called Halfrauds. I'm either going to need 6mm and above spacers or just change the brakes back to standard (They need doing anyway)
-
Where can I buy wheel spacers that isin't from Halfords in West Sussex/Surrey?
Edit: And where can I buy 20 60mm wheel bolts?

Why do you need to change the brakes, I ran et35 with no issues.
