work mates 1.8 gl has vibration problem over 30mph, get worse with speed, seems unrelated to engine speed, worse when turning right>
indicates prob on the left, has had one new balanced tyre on front + swapped around wheels with spare to see if that helped but no change,
no play in track rods, drive shafts/cvs, bearings seem fine, no obvious loose sus parts/bushings/ needs more looking though.
Has crash damage to front+back
any ideas please

possibly something related to disc brakes.
-
Sounds like a warped disc.
-
I had the same problem... 2-3 days later my inner cv joint collapsed :)
-
will check suggestions, discs are deffo knackered though

That will not help.

Doubt its cv coz thats a knocking noise! But as its worse on turning then it could be! :undecided:
I would replace the knackered discs first then see.

yh what i was thinking+ they dont have any play either, i think thats what hell do

yh it does sound like the inner cv joint it happened to my old fiesta and one of the three bearings wasnt sitting on the tripod. there doesnt have to be any play.
-
any one checked the engine mounts?
-
engine mounts are pretty tight
