ive never seen them close up?

Cant you just get your windows tinted light silver to save abit of money?

Does that price include the front 2 windows for 250?

it's the 2 rear side windows and the back window. the driver/passenger door's weren't done the same way.

they look good as they have a weird slight mirror effect in some light and in others they just look a slight dark tint.

have not seen an aftermarket tint like it, which is probably why the glass is so expensive!

Yeah your right!

Just rears and back.  There was a set on ebay a little while back.  I enquired but price was high.

The windows don't look like they are tinted.  To be truthful i dont think Chromalux can be mimic'd using tints.  Just doesn't look the same.

chromalux was an option on g60's, i don't think it was standard. its a tint that has a verrry nice almost broze/copper tint to it. its a dark tint that when the light catches it it is almost chrome like( as said above). does any of that make sense? from my description it sounds tacky as hell and ugly as funk, but trust me it looks awesome!

to prove how odd it looks in different sunlight, it's on the rear window of this Rallye:

but you would never guess from this picture!

Yeah you can hardly tell from the pictures, but as GtiJoe said, it's wicked and really does look nice.

The Chromalux windows cannot be replicated by tints i've been told as the film sits between the glass not on top of it.  It's specially produced and cost a few quid.  The windows are rare, but i'm going to get some for mine as i think its a nice touch!

Chromalux windows change colour in the sun like Reactalite lenses you put in your glasses!

I have two front ones sitting in my shed. If i dont get my car tinted because the law can be tight around Luton, i will probably get some rear ones and shove em in. They look greeny....but on the car they came out of they looked clearish if that makes any sense.

I wasn't aware that VW made front windows in Chromalux.  I thought that they only did the rears + back window!!   ???

there was a set on ebay last week i think, they might still be there but he wants alot of cash for them. i also thought they were rear windows as well, goldf1sh. not sure if what you have so1o, are chromalux as they had a browny/bronze tint rather than green with a chome effect when the sun catches them. i could be wrong though..........
