Title: Engine over heating coolent leak? HELP
Post by: n_crowther on 28 September 2009, 19:29
Iv just bought a 2003 gt tdi and since iv had it its over heated three times in two weeks. Im not sure if i have a leak somewhere but when i top the coolent up with water i can see it running out of the bottom of the car near two pipes a blue and black, im not sure what them pipes are for or if its just a crack in the coolent bottle. When we water runs out its a rusty brown colour any ideas whats wrong would k-seal or rad weld sort it out if its just a leak?

Thanks

pipe probably perished mate and if i was you i wouldnt keep driving it and letting it overheat, by doing that your risking even more damage and it would surprise me if youve already stuffed the head gasket.

sort out the leak!
