Title: Bad weekend
Post by: Craig16v on 28 September 2009, 13:27
Hi guys,

Its not been a very good weekend for me and my gti, first off on friday i had to replace my front two tyres which were starting to look like slicks. Then on saturday morning my handbrake cable had snapped! and now today my starter motor has gone. Really not liking the car at the moment!

They're only budget tyres that i put on it as the wheels rub a bit when there is any weight in the car. I paid £120 fitted for two 204/40/17.

Arrowspeed by any chance? They were the only off the shelf ones I was offered over the weekend!

Just picked my car up there from the garage with the new starter fitted and the handbrake sorted, the work only cost me £100 for the parts and fitting

Always good to know people dont chuck in the towel on the mk3's.

Mines cost me nearly 500quid this week. (tax, mot, new wheels (2nd hand), new windscreen.) just need a brake pipe replacing now and i'm up and away.
