Title: New MK2 Golf 1.6 owner from Somerset.

Hi,

I'm Dave, 19, from Chard, Somerset.

I made a post in the mk3 section the other day as i was interested in getting a mk3. However on the way to work yesterday i spotted this for sale at 250, a months tax but no test. I went to view it today and got it for £210. It needs a small amount of work to get it through, slight rust on rear door sill and a small rust hole on the inner wheel arch. It has a dodgy idle and a sticky throttle cable but thats about it apart from needing some new piping. Really happy with it considering it was a spontaneous buy :) was looking for something to learn mechanics from alongside my college course and this seems perfect.
