Two lovely cars there. Can't help noticing how much blacker the MkVI is.

I still carn't get over VW putting the GTI badge on the wrong side again. :grin:
Very nice cars and i hope you are keeping the mk2. I myself just could not handle cleaning two black cars it would drive me crazy.

Both looking good there mate.

Simple reason for the mkvi looking "blacker" is that the mkii is oak green!!!

Yes, the mkII is Oak Green, had it for a year now but it's time to go, so if anyone is seriously interested then please let me know, though it may not be cheap.

Briefly;

1992 8 valve 5 door run out edition
82,800 miles
totally standard apart from upgrade to the lights (the originals are awful)
I have all the MOT's and a wallet full of invoices, my biggest expense was a new imobiliser.
Daily drive, never let me down.
Sad to see her go really, but the wife hated it :(

Great combo there. Question:

You want to go for a spirited drive - just for fun. Would you take the Mk2, or the Mk6?

I take it you're not that keen to part with the old girl then :wink: Either that or she's gold plated somewhere!
