If the Mk2 is on its way out let me know - I'll have it.

Two lovely cars there. Can't help noticing how much blacker the MkVI is.
-
I still carn't get over VW putting the GTI badge on the wrong side again.
Very nice cars and i hope you are keeping the mk2. I myself just could not handle cleaning two black cars it would drive me crazy.
-
that's a great photo
-
looks the nuts
-
Both looking good there mate.
Simple reason for the mkvi looking "blacker" is that the mkii is oak green!!!
-
Now that you say it i can see it DOH! :embarassed:

Yes, the mkII is Oak Green, had it for a year now but it's time to go, so if anyone is seriously interested then please let me know, though it may not be cheap.
Briefly;
1992 8 valve 5 door run out edition
82,800 miles
totally standard apart from upgrade to the lights (the originals are awful)
I have all the MOT's and a wallet full of invoices, my biggest expense was a new imobiliser.
Daily drive, never let me down.
Sad to see her go really, but the wife hated it :(
-
very nice   great photo to and like the mk2 also if i had the money i would have it of you
-
Awesome bud, many happy miles...
-
Great combo there. Question:
You want to go for a spirited drive - just for fun. Would you take the Mk2, or the Mk6?
-
Craking photo !
Congrats :)
-
I love the pic with the old and new together.
Might try and pick up an old mk GTI, mk1 would be sweet.

I take it you're not that keen to part with the old girl then  Either that or she's gold plated somewhere!
