looking at my car today to find the leaky boot in a earlier post.... I've just noticed something else.... grrr... wish i hadnt looked now
Anyway... 8v GTI... Top of the Engine Head... is a black box bolted to the head with what looks like 2 soft rubber pipes coming from it, top one goes to the air intake and the bottom one goes to the bottom of the engine... Anyway... the bottom pipe routes down and passes past the cam belt cover. I noticed abit of oil on cam belt cover, lifted up the pipe and found it has a little leak. not bad leak...
Are these easy to change?

I'm guessing i will have to remove the black box off the head to replace them then.
I'll go to Vw for the new pipes.
Thanks

Not that expensive, on my 96 AGG the main pipe was £18 + vat, the main breather unit was £45.
